Update to Private Medical work service

Please be aware, that with immediate effect, we have taken the decision to cease Private Medical work for the foreseeable future.

This is the completion of forms and requests for letters that do not fall under the NHS contractual requirements. This work is completed by our GPs outside of their usual working day and we have found that this is causing considerable amounts of complaints from patients who do not realise that this work is extra and chargeable. 

Any work that has already commenced will be completed, but we will not be taking any new work at this time.

Most medical information required for this sort of work, can be found on the NHS App, or patients also have the option of going to a private GP who can complete this work for a fee.
