Information regarding weight loss injections

Please be aware that medications such as Mounjaro and Ozempic that are advertised as weight loss injections are unable to be prescribed by a GP specifically for weight loss.

These injections can only be prescribed by a Primary Care GP as part of the management of Diabetes.

If you require weight loss advice/help, then please make a routine appointment to see a GP who will refer you to a specialist weight management service. They will be able to discuss different options with you, but the issue of a prescription is not guaranteed.
