During the month of August, we had a total of 164 appointments where the patient failed to attend their
appointment. Across the Surgery, this equates to 27 hours of clinical time lost, which other patients could have used.
This is a significant improvement on previous months figures so we thank our patients for this. We have also implemented an updated appointment reminder system allowing cancellation of the appointment if it is no longer required. This has been used to good effect, further helping this figure move in the right direction.
We hope to see this figure continue to drop to ensure that appointments we have available are used as efficiently as possible.
